What is the difference between a Bookkeeper & Accountant? 

A Bookkeeper typically concentrates on ensuring the information in your accounting/financial system is up to date, documented and reliable, that accruals happen and that taxes are calculated and paid on time so should you be audited everything is up to date and acceptable to the Inland Revenue Department.

An Accountant can then take the information that the Bookkeeper has prepared and interpret it to assist business owners in making decisions when it comes to their business.

What is a Discovery Call?

It is a phone call to learn a little bit about each other and how Innov8 Bookkeeping Services Limited may be of assistance to you - we know your time is valuable as is ours, so if you are a good fit we will arrange a time for a Discovery Meeting.

What is a Discovery Meeting?

A Discovery Meeting is to go a little more indepth than the Discovery Call, we will get you to complete some questions prior to Meeting which will help us with what services we can provide that may suit you and how that may look.

You have services I don't want - do I have to have all your services?

You are more than welcome to work with us here at Innov8 to define what services will be of most use to you. This is why we have a Discovery Call & and a Discovery Meeting with you. We believe in providing services that match your needs.

What if I have needs you cannot meet?

If we find that we do not provide the services you require we will do our best to refer you to a bookkeeper or service that can!

I see you have a Xero badge on your webpage what does that mean?

Mandy the owner of Innov8 Bookkeeping Services Limited has been a Xero certified-advisor since 2013 and is so enthusiastic about Xero that she have chosen to only work with clients who are either using Xero or are willing to switch to Xero (we are able to do this for you).

What qualifications do your bookkeepers have?

Our Bookkeepers are Institute of Certified New Zealand Bookkeepers (ICNZB) members. The ICNZB provides continuing professional development and has a strict code of ethics for their members in New Zealand.
